Aiwa AD-F 660

I have an AIWA AD-F 660 and the tape drive mechanism doesn't engage the tape against the capstain. Everything seem to run but the speed is not correct and the tape is not against the heads. I asume a belt is broken but can't see anything broken in the assembly. Does anyone have a service manual (pdf format) or any information on how to fix this?

"I have the same problem. Drive mechanism motor need 12V c.c. to work... a little transistor To-92 is broken (C2001 - K239A) near multi pole connector (10 online pole), the nearless to the diode bridge. There are a lot of this transistors on the board so i unsolder one of that goods and changed it. Drive mechanism motor work now !

But an other part don't work (rewind) because i unsolder his transistor :)

This was only a test, now i know i must find others To-92 C2001 K239A transistors.

I think this is an internal AIWA code because i'm not able to find nothing on the web. I need for a comparation table to know wich is the equivalent transistor model....

You can replace it with common types. If you google the transistor numbers, you will find specs. Find a common transistor on your local electronics store that has similar specifications to it.

The deck should then work fine. I did this procedure on my AD-F660 to fix a transistor that blew up, causing the VU meter to not work at all.
